“I’m not sure I can think of a story that causes such hatred in the common person,” the (television news) anchor said to his co-host. “A trinity of hatred really. First you have (investment bank) Silverthorne, the lightning rod of winner-take-all capitalism. Secondly, Silverthorne is working on an IPO, a transaction where fees are fat, institutional investors are the beneficiaries and the common investor is left in the dust. Lastly, the victims here are widows and orphans!”
